Shannon Hagan is a hornist and music educator working in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. A native of Colorado Springs, Shannon graduated from Air Academy High School before pursuing a degree in music education at CU Boulder.

After undergraduate school, she moved to the beautiful Hudson Valley to study music performance at Bard College and play in The Orchestra Now. Shannon landed an orchestral horn job in Umeå, Sweden playing co-principal/third horn in the Norrlandsoperans Symphony Orchestra from 2018-2019. When the pandemic hit, she chose to come back to Colorado Springs and pursue a career in music education.

Shannon teaches private horn lessons and has experience teaching elementary general music, band, and orchestra. She has appeared as a guest musician with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. Her main teachers were Mike Thornton, Julia Pilant, and Barbara Currie.
